The AXYZ Innovator can automatically switch between three different tools, and also has the capability to use additional tools if they are swapped over by hand. The Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) is operated using the keypad controller.

Picking up tools using the ATC

  • Clear the safety mat. Turn the SAFETY RESET key.
  • Type F 31.n and press Enter. In this command n is the number of the tool you wish to pick up. For example, type F 31.1 to pick up the tool in ATC pocket 1, F31.2 for pocket 2, or F 31.3 for pocket 3.

Depositing tools from the spindle into the ATC

  • Clear the safety mat. Turn the SAFETY RESET key.
  • Type F 34 and press Enter.
  • The machine puts the tool that is now in the spindle into the holder of the ATC.
    Note: If the tool is not from the ATC (the tool number is more than 3), the machine gives a prompt to remove the tool manually.
