Usage Information
Each satchet provides a useful amount of material in the correct proportions. Mix an entire satchet at once to ensure the chemical ratios are correct. This epoxy comes in two variants - red and blue.
- The red packet epoxy is fast-setting, with a maximum working time of five minutes and a handling time of 15-30 minutes.
- The blue packet epoxy is slower setting with a maximum working time of 2 hours. Handling time is 8 hours.
Mixing
- Use scissors to cut open two corners of the satchet - one corner for Part A and one for Part B.
- Squeeze all of Part A onto a piece of disposable material such as a material offcut or a piece of cardboard. Squeeze all of Part B on top of it.
- Mix very well with a wooden stirrer until the epoxy is a consistent colour. Scrape epoxy from the surface you are mixing on and incorporate it into the mixture thoroughly to ensure you get all of the material. Poorly mixed epoxy may not set properly.
- Spread onto the surface you are gluing, which should be clean and dry. Loose material should be removed before applying the epoxy.
- Hold in place securely until the handling time has passed. You could use clamps, screws, tape, or elastic bands.
- Throw the packet, gloves, and the material used for mixing on in the general waste bin. Do not leave it around for other people to get stuck to.
- Wash your hands with soap and water after you have finished work.
