Usage Information
- The use of this coolant additive is controlled and should only be used when the coolant management process indicates it is a requirement.
- For a "shock" dose of a highly contaminated metalworking fluid use the following formula: Coolant Tank Volume x 0.5% = ml/litre.
- For a maintenance "controlling" dose use the following formula: Coolant Tank Volume x 0.2% = ml/litre.
- Add the fluid to the coolant at a point of high turbulence and circulate for at least 30 minutes to ensure it is mixed into the metalworking fluid properly.
- If this additive is being used on the UMC-500 ensure that the through-spindle coolant pump is run for at least 30 minutes in addition and separetely to to the normal coolant pump.
Dosage Amounts
- Shock dose for the UMC-500, full coolant tank: 217 ml
- Controlling dose for the UMC-500, full coolant tank: 87 ml
- Shock dose for the ST-15Y, full coolant tank: 65 ml
- Controlling dose for the ST-15Y, full coolant tank: 26 ml
