COSHH - Alconox - Alconox Powdered Precision Cleaner
Alconox is a very effective cleaner specially formulated heavy duty cleaning without leaving residues. We use it primarily for cleaning the optical components of the Formlabs Fuse 1 3D printer. It's excellent at cleaning glass, metals, ceramics and plastics. Refer to the Technical Datasheet before use.
Rinse thoroughly with water after use.
If there is no 1% solution available do not mix it yourself. Ask a member of technical staff to mix a fresh batch.
Storage Location
Return this item to its storage place once you have finished using it. If it is empty, please let a member of technical staff know so more can be ordered.

Causes skin irritation Wash thoroughly with copious amounts of water in the event of skin exposure. |

Causes severe eye irritation In case of contact with eyes wash using eyebath station for at least 15 minutes and seek urgent medical attention. |

Usage Information
- Don't mix with other detergents or cleaners.
- Rinse components thoroughly with running water after cleaning. If you are cleaning precision components you may wish to use distilled or deionised water as the final rinse.
- If cleaning soft metals such as aluminium and copper make sure to rinse it promptly to prevent corrosion. For large scale cleaning of these metals a corrosion test is recommended.
- Mix at a 1% ratio - one packet of powdered cleaner to 3 litres of clean water. For smaller quantities, use a precision scale to measure 10 g of powder per 1 litre of clean water, which may be hot or cold.
- Can be used in the ultrasonic cleaner.
