Usage Information

• This fluid is used in thevibratory tumblerto enhance the performance of the tumbling media.
• Vibro-liquid must be diluted before use – do not use the neat fluid from the small containers. There is a clearly labelled 5L jug of diluted fluid you can use in the Morson Engine Room COSHH cabinet. If the jug is empty, ask a member of staff to make up more solution.
• The working concentration of the diluted fluid is between 2% and 5%. In the 5L jug used to store the diluted fluid, 2% concentration is 100 ml, 5% concentration is 250 ml. Measure the concentrate in a clean glass beaker and add to the empty jug before topping off to 2 inches below the brim with cold tap water.
• Parts in the tumbler should not be swimming in fluid – a small amount to loosen the abrasive media is all that is needed. Add fluid in small amounts – about 100 ml at a time – until the desired amount is present in the tumbler.
• The solution contains corrosion inhibitors so you don’t need to worry about parts rusting while in the tumbler or immediately afterwards.
