Recycling 3D Prints

We purchase bioplastic recycling boxes from ReFactory, a company based in Hull, UK. These cardboard boxes are shipped to us flat, filled with unwanted PLA material (from failed prints, support structures, etc.) and then shipped back for shredding and recycling.

What can be recycled in the print recycling boxes?

You can only recycle PLA plastic in our recycling boxes. This is clearly marked on the box.

Do not contaminate the PLA waste stream with other materials like nitrile gloves, other 3D printed materials, plastic bags, silica gel, etc.
