Use a clean paper towel. Make sure that the bearing area is clean and dry before continuing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn on the compressed air valve (CMM AIR) on the wall. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn on the rotary isolator (CMM MACHINE POWER) on the back of the black control cabinet. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn on the controller PC. Log in to the PC. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open CMM Manager from the desktop of the PC.<br><em>Note: The software can ask for a username and a company. These fields are usually filled in advance.<\/em><br>Username: User<br>Company: Salford Uni <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the window &#8220;The machine is going to perform a homing operation&#8221; opens, click OK. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the PC gives the prompt, press the MASTER START button on the pendant of the machine. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If necessary, jog the probe head manually to a safe location. To do this, press the JOG ENABLE button on the pendant.
