Before sintering the parts from the Metal X must be washed in a solvent bath to remove lubricating waxes. The amount of time this washing process takes varies from part to part, depending on the geometry, but typically takes 24 hours or so. Once it has finished washing the solvent must be allowed to evaporate in the evaporation section of the washer.
