The Markforged Mark 2 is an unusual printer in that it will print with nylon filament just like a normal printer, but it can reinforce prints using continuous strands of carbon fibre, fibreglass, or kevlar. This is not material that has been chopped up and mixed into the filament, but actual full lengths of reinforcement.

This additional reinforcement material means that the parts, if designed and sliced correctly, can be much stronger than similar FDM 3D prints.
